Join us for the GOLD final event:

“Advanced biofuels and phytoremediation – Bridging the gap and opportunities for the management of contaminated land”

Over the past four years, the GOLD project has conducted research and innovation to grow industrial crops on contaminated land.

This innovative approach aims to manage and revitalize contaminated land while simultaneously producing low ILUC risk biofuels from lignocellulosic crops through thermochemical pathways.

Our concluding event will take place on 29 April 2025 at the Centro Residenziale Universitario of the University of Bologna, Bertinoro, Italy.

It will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participation both in-person and online.

The event will showcase the final results of this 4-years journey, attendees will gain insights into:

• optimizing industrial crops for growing on contaminated land and for contaminant extraction; advanced biomass pre-treatment and conversion processes for biofuels and contaminant removal; best value chain approaches environmental, economic and socio-economic assessment of the best value chains.
